Calligraphy Health and QiGong – find balance with Joachim Hopp
Movement art, inspired by gymnastics, dance, yoga, Tai Chi, and QiGong, has been a central part of my life for over 40 years. Even during my long career as a self-employed IT consultant and trainer in large companies, physical activity was always an essential balance and a source of relaxation for me.
My education and inspirations:
- dance: Training with Andrea Simon, Heide-Marie Böhm, Marie-Luise Thiele in Frankfurt am Main, Hubert Godard and Laurette Fouquet in Avignon (France) as well as at the Folkwang University of Music, Theatre and Dance in Essen.
- Massage therapy, QiGong and martial artsTraining with Torsten Wilms, Armin Tschauner in Frankfurt am Main – with a focus on KungFu and sword fighting.
- Silent QiGong and Traditional Chinese Medicine: Training with Zhi Chang Li in Munich.
- QiGong teacher: Training and teaching assistance with Carsten Dohnke (Tao Hamburg).
- Natural Movements: Teacher training with Shangshi Zou Xiao (China).
- Calligraphy Health: Education and teacher training with Zhen Hua Yang (Australia).
- Seminars: Further training in QiGong with Mantak Chia (Tao Yoga), Lama FoFu (Tibetan Buddhism) and regular further training in Daoist philosophy, TCM, Calligraphy Health and QiGong with Shangshi Zou Xiao and Zhen Hua Yang.
My philosophy:
Since integrating Qigong into my life, I've realized that learning is an endless process and that life constantly offers new and surprising paths. Every movement I learn and share always feels fresh and new. It gives me the opportunity to evolve, let go of the old, and continually open myself to new experiences.
It is an ongoing process – a flow between stability and lightness that leads to relaxation, clarity and openness.
For me, teaching is much more than just imparting knowledge – it is an enriching experience to accompany my participants on their journey and to learn together with them.

Teachings without words
and acting without doing
They are understood by very few.
